Dan McFadden, APR, Director of Communications at HCA Healthcare’s Department of Care, Transformation and Innovation in Nashville, Tennessee, leads communications supporting the department’s design and implementation for the future of patient-centered care. Previously, he served as Director of Strategic Communications at HCA Healthcare’s Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center and Sunrise Children’s Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is Accredited in Public Relations (APR) by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Prior to HCA Healthcare, McFadden served as Director of Marketing, Communications and Branding at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and held leadership positions at St. Vincent Health System and Arkansas Department of Health, all based in Little Rock, Arkansas. His career includes leadership in television broadcasting (NBC, FOX, and CBS affiliates) and PR agency service. McFadden, a Past President of the Arkansas Chapter, helped design the successful APR Ready to Roll program, still going strong in Arkansas for over a decade, and now experiencing phenomenal growth in Las Vegas Valley, where he served as Accreditation Co-chair, Vice President of Programs and President-elect. He has mentored dozens of APR candidates across the country and is excited to bring the APR Ready to Roll program to PRSA Nashville Chapter.

Juanita Traughber, MBA, APR is the director of marketing and communications at University School of Nashville. In 2023, the National School Public Relations Association named her among the Top 35 Under 35 and the Nashville Business Journal recognized her as a Woman of Influence in the category for Inspiration and Mentors. That year she also earned Accreditation in Public Relations and a national NSPRA Golden Achievement Award for outstanding, strategic work in all aspects of school public relations, communication, marketing, and engagement. Juanita is a past president of PRSA Nashville and has earned nine PRSA Parthenon Awards, the chapter’s Mercury Award for emerging leaders, and the Olympus Award for service. Her career began as a journalist for The Associated Press and several daily newspapers, and she was a Pulitzer finalist in 2011. She earned her MBA at Belmont University and holds bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and International Affairs from the University of Georgia.
