PRSA Nashville Announces 2018 Parthenon Award Winners

The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Nashville chapter honored exceptional work at its 32nd annual Parthenon Awards on Monday night, awarding strategic and creative excellence by Middle Tennessee public relations professionals. Winners were announced at a dinner at the Country Music Hall of Fame, emceed by Harry Chapman.

More than 150 trophies were awarded to 21 area agencies and businesses. DVL Seigenthaler brought home the most wins with 35 total, including 13 Parthenons and 22 Awards of Merit. The night’s highest honor went to Stones River Group for their work on the campaign to Bring MLS to Nashville, which was the only entry to receive a perfect score making it Best of Show.

Additional top winners included MP&F (30 awards), Dollar General (26 awards), GS&F (24 awards) and Reed Public Relations (14 awards).

PRSA Nashville also recognized top communicators in the Nashville area. Ronald Roberts with DVL Seigenthaler received the chapter’s Hercules Award for his leadership and contributions to the profession and community. Lauren Reed with Reed Public Relations received the chapter’s Olympus Award for Presidential Leadership; and Juanita Traughber with University School of Nashville was named the Mercury Award recipient which goes to a young professional who demonstrates accelerated career progress and leadership through service to PRSA.

Additionally, Bridgestone Americas’ Chief Administrative Officer Chris Karbowiak was honored with the Apollo Award for unwavering commitment to Bridgestone and the larger Nashville community. The award is given to a Middle Tennessee leader who exemplifies the public relations functions within their organization, though this is not their primary responsibility.
